About Us
Antony & Christopher started Fired Up Kilns in 2020 with the aim to provide an affordable, durable & functional range of pottery kilns, supplies and equipment to our ceramicists and potters, regardless of where they live across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
By May 2024 we had outgrown our space in Yarraville and moved across Melbourne to a much larger location in Heidelberg West. Here we have been able to open a factory-direct retail space, grow our firing service and most importantly, we can buy in bulk from our suppliers to keep costs down.
We search the world for the products we want to make available to our customers. Seeking out innovation, affordability, functionality and durability in everything we retail.
Our dedicated team all strive to provide exceptional customer service:
- Antony (Operations Mgr) - an enthusiastic potter and kiln builder his entire life. Also, a small animals Veterinarian.
- Christopher (Business Mgr) – a long suffering partner of a potter. Also, a Registered Nurse in Palliative & Remote health.
- Jake – a keen figurative sculptor and element winding extraordinaire. Also, keeps fit with Muay Thai kick boxing.
- Georgia - a lover of all things pottery, with a special interest in BIG pots. Also, a teacher at Neo Ceramics & life-long student.
- Ang – a potter of functional homewares and owner of Preston Pottery. Also, a creative producer for international events & performances.
- Matthew – a developing functional potter with an interest in glaze chemistry. Also, an Environmental Engineer and advisor in energy efficiency.
- Charlotte – a potter since childhood. Also, studying her Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University.
- Mason – a guru of all things glaze chemistry related. Also, a linguist who speaks multiple languages.
- Maureen – a past financial controller of large complex businesses, she keeps all of us on our toes. Also, keeps super fit by pole dancing.
- Denise – a powerhouse of marketing, design and common sense. Also, lives in the Tropical Far North Queensland city of Cairns.
